Uber10 Top Holiday Gadgets for Under $400

I've been a fan of tech and gadget blog Ubergizmo since first meeting "everywhere" co-founder Hubert Nguyen in April 2008 at a Lunch 2.0 event

A few months later, I met Ubergizmo's other co-founder, Eliane Fiolet, first through Facebook and later at the launch of Intel Centrino 2 and the Intel Developer Forum in San Francisco.

The two entrepreneurs work hard and love what they do...and it shows.

When I heard about the Uber10 party they held in 2007, I was fired up.  I always dig a good top 10 list, especially when it relates to holiday gift ideas.

I asked if we could help grow the Uber10 event this year, and that's what I hope to see at invite-only gathering at San Francisco's Mighty club this evening.

Sponsored by Intel and Federated Media, this year's Uber 10 list has a few items I'd like to sticking out of my stocking on Christmas morning. My top pick is the HP mini - I guess I'm in the eye of the perfect Netbook storm.

Uber10 party-goers are in for some treats.  They'll get to test drive a soon-to-be-release Dell PC powered by the new Intel Core i7 processor, which has been getting some rave reviews.

We're also brining a few Intel Centrino 2 technology-powered laptops, like this pink painted Asus and tiny Sony TT 11" with Blu-ray.  Gamers will get to throttle the Intel Extreme Edition Asus Gaming Laptop.

We'll also have a new Community PC with Intel Atom processor inside and, yes, several new netbooks will be there ready for the trying.  In fact, one lucky winner will go home with an early holiday present: a white Lenovo IdeaPad netbook.

We'll also hand our new Inside Scoop blog stickers.  If we have a few left over after the party, I'll do my best to share with anyone who wants one (while supplies last).

What I'm really looking forward to is meeting up with a handful of Intel Insiders like Cathy Brooks, Sarah Austin, Irina Slutsky, Brian Solis, Tom Foremski, JD Lasica and possibly Christian Perry and Adriana Gascoigne.

Here's to hoping you get exactly what you wish for this holiday.  If you have gadget on your gift wish list, let me know what it is in the comments.
