OutsideLands SF 2009 Day 2......bring on the musicians!

Demo guy here.  And while I've been here at the SF Outsidelands Music festival here in Golden Gate park, I've got a chance to speak with some of the performers of the festival and see how they've been digging the weekend festivities.

Raphael Saardiq was great enough to come by the Intel Dome after his Day 2 performance to talk to me a little bit about Outsidelands and Intel Technology.  If you can hear over the jaming Intel DJ, Raphael had some great things to say about the concert experience, and how he wouldn't dream of using anything other than Intel platforms to produce all his projects (exagerating a little, but check the vid....).

Raphael put on a rocking show, and we got to give him a good tour through some of the new technologies we have on display, including mobile digital mixing and augmented reality.  I offered to consult for a tech re-model of his studio (we'll see if he takes me up on it!).  With all Intel gear, of course.

Next up, Bassist Senon Williams from Dengue Fever stopped by the Intel Dome to have a few words about the event with your favorite demo guy.  I swear, I did not pay him a cent.  Senon is a great Intel and tech fan (or at least he was REALLY indulging me), and just an all around awesome cat to give us Intel nerds his perspective of the event and music tech.  Check it out!

As you can tell, Senon really knows his Tech!!!  Afterwards, we gave him a run through of the new tech inside the Intel Dome for a few quick demos.  The agumented reality (digital imaging imposed on the real world via your computer) demo really stuck a chord.  Senon, let me know if you want me to deck out that new album cover!  Of course, if it goes platinum, maybe a little mention in the liner notes for the demo guy?

senon2.JPGWe got more musicians coming by the dome today, so make sure to keep tuned in, while I'm here covering Day 3 of Outsidelands.  And, of course, gotta hunt down Jack Black and Kyle Glass..........I'm such a big fan!
