Meet the New Intel Insiders

Intel’s social media advisory program, dubbed the Intel Insiders, is now in its second year.

For the past few months we’ve collected feedback from our original Insiders and attended social media events searching for new people who could help us grow our advisory program.

We’re excited to have five new inspiring, talented people join six of our orginal Insiders. Our new Insiders are:

Daniel Brusilovsky is @danielbru on Twitter. He’s a student, prolific media producer, and an internet entrepreneur. He writes for TechCrunch, and has offered great insights on how Teens use the internet, such as his piece on why Teens don’t use Twitter. He’s founder/CEO of Teens in Tech, a media platform for online youth communities to publish their media content

Erin Kane is @emkprgal on Twitter. She blogs at Manic Mommies, and produces weekly podcasts. She writes about technology for Real Simple’s Simply Stated blog and blogs about balance between life and work for BusinessBalance.com.

Corvida Raven is @corvida on Twitter. She’s full of energy and devotes lots of time to sharing her social media know-how with others. She often says she’s aspiring to be the “Oprah of the Web,” and you can tell from her blogging at SheGeeks, where she share her savviness about social media, mobile, and web services.

Intel Upgrade Your Life Experience

Mia Kim is @miakim on Twitter. She is founder and editor-in-chief of PopGadget, a personal/lifestyle technology blog for women. As Intel devotes more time and resources to connecting with consumers, we hope Mia will help try new things and make new friends.

Brian Solis and Steve "Chippy" Paine with MID at Pool 2.0 Party at SXSW 2009

Steve “Chippy” Paine is @chippy on Twitter. He’s been a leading expert on the evolution of mobile internet computing devices and has a vast amount of data and quality product reviews on his UMPCPortal and MIDMoves. He has teamed up with Intel during the past few years, including sponsorships for his travel to attended the Intel Developer Forum, Computex and SXSW. We hope to get more chances to learn from Steve as Intel improves Intel Atom-based technologies for small, internet connected consumer devices.

If you’re in San Francisco on September 21, you can meet many of the new and some of the original Intel Insiders like:

Register for the MobilityMeetup and use the code IDF09Media (passes are limited to first 25).

IDF2009_Whiteboard

This is our gathering to kick off the Intel Developer Forum. You’ll meet some top gadget gurus from Ubergizmo, experts from Intel’s Ultra Mobility Group, Mobile Internet Device makers and see a collection of new mobile computers from HP with Intel inside.

As we move into the fall season then towards the holidays and the Consumer Electronics Show in January 2010, we’ll be participating with the Intel Insiders in many ways, including:

Digital Summer -- San Francisco 2009

  • Testing out new products like computers with Intel Core i7 processors, new mobile Internet devices and netbooks with Intel Atom processors inside, and laptops with Intel Core 2 technology inside
  • Involving Insiders in consumer outreach efforts like events, videos and speaking engagements
  • Getting Insiders involved with strategies for communicating to consumers benefits of Intel technologies

All of this is an extension of what we consider a very successful first year with the program. We recieved great advice on how to use social media tools such as Twitter and Facebook, top video producers to know like Rocketboom and quality feedback about products that help our business units stay savvy on what consumers are looking for when they buy new technologies.

A big thanks to Insider alumni — Christian Perry, Adriana Gascoigne, Sarah Austin and Irina Slutsky — with whom we will keep our relationships growing. And thanks to other original Insiders for agreeing to stay with us for another year: JD Lasica, Frank Gruber and iJustine.
