2nd Gen Intel Core Processors (Sandy Bridge) Launch at CES

As of 10am this morning, Intel officially announced the 2nd generation Intel Core Processor family, also known as Sandy Bridge.  Paul Otellini and Mooly Eden showed off features of the visibly smart new processors.

Key features to the new processors include:

  • Intel Insider, a technology enabling secure distribution of movie and entertainment content in full HD to the PC
  • Intel Quick Sync Video, enabling the creation, editing and sharing of content to be done much faster
  • Intel Wireless Display 2.0, helping you enjoy the content from your PC wirelessly on your TV

    What a shame that all that time and energy was wasted on including DRM on a processor. Considering the switch to AMD after this movie, Intel. :(

    Raj — I checked with my colleagues and the Intel 2nd Generation processors are available in India and you can walk into any store and ask for more details.
