A Different Kind of Gaming Competition

I’m not talking about Intel Extreme Masters, no, what I’m talking about is on-line racing and the Intel GT Series World Championship.

The Intel GT World Championship will feature 32 of the very best on-line (sim) racers from all over the world. They will do battle on Saturday, March 24 @ 19:00 GMT, 3:00PM EST; you can watch all the action via web broadcast at iRacing Live.

The competition will feature iRacing’s HPD-ARX 01C LMP2 car in a 30 minute race around an exacting digital version of Belgium’s famed Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps. A 30 minute open qualifier will set the grid immediately followed by the race. The 32 car field will be racing for a custom Intel Core i7 Extreme gaming computer, Intel SSD Drive, and Intel core i5 processors and motherboard.

If you have never seen an on-line motor race please join the web broadcast, you will be amazed at how realistic and competitive this virtual form of motor sports can be.
