“How to Train Your Dragon” Premiere: Full of Fire!

dwa7.JPGI was able to attend the Los Angeles world premier of DreamWorks Animation’s 3D animated film How to Train Your Dragon. The movie was created using DreamWorks own animation software pipeline – enhanced for Intel’s new Coreâ„¢ architecture. The result is best in class 3D animation, making it possible to animate creatures including dragons, like never before.  The main dragon — “Toothless” — struggles with a wounded  tail, only to develop an unlikely friendship with a young Viking.  This is a heartfelt “tail” about an unlikely friendship between man and beast! I particularly was impressed with the realism of the film, which at times made me feel like I was not in an animated film experience but rather a real life movie! The lighting, the intricacy of the dragon skin, pulsing beads of sweat, breath movements, and the flow of the characters hair in the wind all truly blurred my sense of whether this was animated or live action! Go check it out soon and see how Intel goes to the movies!
