Intel Celebrates Music and Technology at Outside Lands Music Festival 2011

Renee Edwards of Intel’s Social Media Center of Excellence attended Outside Lands this past weekend to help generate social media buzz for Intel and music lovers. Below is Renee’s recap of Intel’s presence at the event.

In the spirit of celebrating music and technology, Intel  hosted the Visual Life Experience at San Francisco’s Outside Lands Music Festival this weekend. The Outside Lands Music & Arts Festival takes place annually in San Francisco’s historic Golden Gate Park with dozens of bands and attractions.  From singer-songwriters to DJs, jazz acts and cutting edge rock bands, all major music movements are celebrated alongside a host of local musicians, food vendors and visual artists representing San Francisco’s vibrant cultural community.

Celebrating music and technology with Intel at Outside Lands 2011,  music lovers enjoyed a variety of activities that created their own visual experiences. DJ Quan returned this year to mix it up on the interactive, always rocking dance floor. Festival goers were able to choose between a variety of activities including Visual Life stations (immersive, motion-controlled visuals), Henna tattoo stations (airbrush tattoos inspired by the Visibly_Smart ads), and the Museum of Me (virtual exhibition of your life on Facebook). All weekend, visitors of the Intel Cube tweeted, checked-in via Foursquare and updated Facebook statuses sharing their love for Intel and #IntelOutside!
