Intel CES 2012 Spotlight: Dr Albert Lin, National Geographic Explorer
I had the opportunity to watch Dr. Albert Lin‘s presentation in the Intel spotlight theater in the Intel booth today at CES 2012.
Lin’s fascinating presentation focused on how technology plays a part in his life as an explorer and scientist for National Geographic Explorer.
It’s crucial for Dr Lin to carry the best technology, which Intel has played a key roll in that technology success. Lin also pointed out how the new Ultrabook™ inspired by Intel will help him in the field. See the fun photo below with Lin and other explorers.
Lin also mentioned how important it is to cultivate a sense of curiosity about the world around us. It’s that curiosity that fuels the future.
At National Geographic Explorer, they tapped into the power of the crowd by putting out a public call for assistance to review scans/maps to aid their research in Mongolia. Through that endeavor, and the power of technology to complete high intensity underground scans, they were able to continue their work while leaving the area virtually untouched.
Below are more photos taken during Lin’s presentation in the Intel booth at CES 2012.
If you missed Dr. Albert Lin in the Intel booth today at CES 2012, you’ve got another opportunity to catch his presentation at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, January 12, 2012.
