Intel Extreme Masters visits Katowice Poland
First and foremost I want to wish everyone a happy and prosperous New Year and I hope your holidays were as relaxing and enjoyable as mine were.
To kick off the New Year we are off to Katowice Poland for the third installment of Intel Extreme Masters. StarCraft II and League of Legends players from Europe, Asia and the United States will square off for a share of the $82,000 prize pool. StarCraft II and League of Legends competition kicks off at the Spodek Arena on Thursday, January 18th with finals for both League of Legends and StarCraft II taking place on Sunday, January 20th.
As an added bonus Intel Extreme Masters is hosting the World of Tanks Grand Finals tournament with Europe’s top eight teams fighting it out for €15,000. The tournament starts on January 18th with the finals taking place on January 19th. Also, as an extra added bonus, all visitors have the chance to grab some free goodies provided by Wargaming.net so if you are anywhere near Katowice you can’t miss this.
As always all matches will be streamed live on the ESL Extreme Masters web site, for a complete schedule of events and a list of competitors taking part in the tournament you just need to go to http://www.esl-world.net/masters/season7/katowice/ .
Our Consumer Experience will be up and running as well so be sure to come by and check out the 3rd Generation Intel Core i7 processor systems and play some of the latest and greatest PC games. You will also have a chance to win a Core i7 Extreme processor by taking part in our daily Unreal Tournament 3 competition or by setting the fastest time of the day in our Formula 1 racing simulators.
As usual I will be blogging from Katowice once the tournaments get under way so be sure to check back and catch up on all the happenings at Intel Extreme Masters Katowice.
