This week, Intel participated in the fifth annual LIVE! with Kelly and Michael “Top Teacher Week” program which honors teachers across the United States. Educators are nominated by members of their communities who want to recognize their outstanding dedication and contributions to their schools.
On Monday, the show honored “Top Teacher” finalist Athena Davis of Cleveland High School in Cleveland, Tennessee. According to her “Top Teacher” nomination, Ms. Davis is an “amazing and creative teacher that inspires greatness from her students.” She teaches several subjects, hosts a faculty and student book club to share the joy of reading and also helps students with a variety of extra-curricular activities. As part of the program, Intel provided Ms. Davis and her classroom with 30 Intel-powered HP Pavilion x360 2 in 1 devices to help her continue to share her love of learning and reading with her students.
The Intel-powered HP Pavilion x360 2 in 1 device is perfect for the classroom, delivering the performance and full functionality of a laptop with the convenience and portability of a tablet, all in one device. The device’s 360-degree hinge gives students ultimate flexibility. They can use it as laptop to work on assignments, rotate it into a stand to watch videos, convert into a tent to use interactively, or transform it into a tablet.
On Tuesday, John Motchkavitz from Great Neck South High School in Great Neck, New York was honored. As part of the “Top Teacher Week” program, Intel presented Mr. Motchkavitz with 30 Intel-powered Dell Latitude 10 tablets. Motchkavitz, affectionately known as “Motch” in his school and community, heads up the Business and Technology department and serves as the school’s Technology teacher.
