Visibly Smart: Interactive Solar System

In honor of the upcoming final space shuttle launch, I wanted to share a link to an interactive 3D model of the solar system. I’ve enjoyed clicking through and exploring. It’s quite addicting. Multi-task this afternoon, and click through to see for yourself.

The above image shows a geocentric view of Earth and the other planets in our solar system. But you can also change views and see a heliocentric or panoramic view. Plus, you can click and view any planet and the solar system from any angle, or also click in to see stars.

How wonderful it must all be from space!
