War Memorial of Korea: A tribute to the resilient people of Seoul during Ultrabook Project tour at Korea War Memorial

When the Ultrabook Project tour with stopped in Seoul, took a moment to visit the War Memorial of Korea.

The War Memorial of Korea is “the home of Peace, with the lives of many heroes who fought to protect peace and the hearts of every individual who hopes for peace.” Part museum, part memorial, part education center; the War Memorial of Korea is a living tribute to the people of Korea and its 5,000 years of history. With about 13,000 items and both indoor and outdoor exhibits, the memorial is the largest site of its type in the world.

The children’s character, Mudori, the Guardian of Peace, teaches the next generation to strive for peace. This valiant character urges us to keep peace alive in our hearts. While it is important to remember the history of the conflict, it’s worthwhile to remember and hold this philosophy of peace so many more years of peace may endure. The International Peace and Life Festival was held May 19-21, 2012 in the DMZ.

Visit the Ultrabook Project site for more information on the tour with and Intel. When you click through, you’ll be able to see articles, pictures, songs, and video from Tokyo, Mexico City, and Seoul.
