The Year of the Ultra Thin Laptop — Enter to Win

Every December as the year draws to a close I find myself thinking about the big advancements of the preceding 11 months. Despite working in the technology industry, it never fails to astonish me how much technology advances in such a short period of time.

One example of a technology I’m particularly excited about is the Intel Ultra Thin Core processors. These processors are so fast and efficient that laptops are more responsive, battery life is longer and it measures less than 1 inch thick and weighs up to 2 pounds less than traditional laptops! It’s slim and lightweight design can help you bring your laptop along wherever you go.

To help bring to life just how exciting this technology is, last month we asked some of our fans to create videos showcasing Intel Ultra Thin laptops. It was a tough choice to determine the finalists, but we’ve narrowed it down to these amazing choices:

Ultra Thin Dictionary

Ultra Thin Collision

And now we need your help: Want to tech your halls this holiday season with an Ultra Thin of your own? We’re giving away a Sony Vaio limited edition X series based on the Intel Ultra Thin processors. Just tell us which is your favorite video and be entered to win one of 2010’s hottest gadgets.

There are two chances to win. Here are the rules:

  • Watch the two videos embedded in this blog post
  • Post a comment below letting us know which video is your favorite and why

Comments

  1. cindy champion says:

Def the second one, Collision. I did NOT see that coming! Lol.

  2. Kim says:

I like the first one best- but i thnk it needs to be slowed down a bit for those who read a bit slower. I would have selected the second one, but i didn’t like the car crash at the end…yuck…too much for me.

  3. Jorge says:

Great video Ultra Thin Collision, this is the idea of good things…they are good for what were design for…not for everything (eg cross the street)

  4. Audrey H. says:

I liked the Ultra Thin Collision video much better because it has some humor and also made me want to see what kind of computer each would bring in.

  5. Zain says:

I liked the first one better because it told me more about the laptop, however, the second video caught me by surprise.

  6. Caitlin says:

I liked video 1 more, “Ultra Thin Dictionary” because it’s sleeker and cleaner!

  7. Jeff Legg says:

Hard choice, 2 excellent videos, but my favorite is the first one “Ultra Thin Dictionary”. I thought it did the best job promoting the features of the laptop in a fun, eye catching, intelligent manner worthy of the product.
    graywolfpack5@yahoo.com

  8. Nurbslife says:

Damn those notebooks look slick! Love how the couple gets crushed at the end like a hum-v rolling through Baghdad on a Sunday afternoon. AWESOMENESS…

  9. Kara Johnson says:

I liked the second commercial because it was more of a story. I once took a literature class in college where I used a definition as the opening to my thesis. I got a D on the paper mainly because of how I opened the paper. It scarred me deep and has changed the way I look at definitions and how they should be used in writing and advertisements.

  10. JS says:

Heh, I particularly liked the end of Ultra Thin Collision so that one gets my vote.

  11. MangalPal Takhar says:

Second video wins with ease. Videos with definitions don’t sell a product, situations do.

  12. Troy says:

I’d have to go with the Dictionary.
I love a funny commercial, but the payoff of the Collision commercial falls a bit flat since it seems a little out of place.
Ultra Thin Dictionary for my vote.

  13. Arthur says:

I like the Ultra Thin Dictionary one. It makes more sense than Ultra Thin Collision.

  14. Kevin says:

I like the dictionary because it explains alot about technology and the collision commercial was actually a bit dumb!

  15. ROBERT BRANDT says:

    Ultra Thin Collision

    Love this video.

  16. Trasina McGahey says:

Ultra Thin Collision is the best! It’s hilarious! It’s something that would make me stop and watch. You had me sitting here laughing!!

  17. Dana says:

I love the Dictionary one! Awesome.

  18. Emile Sawaya says:

I like the ultra thin dictionary video, it gets to the point and the concept is strong showcasing how the laptop has evolved into the thin powerful competing laptops of today.

  19. JeffW says:

Out of the 2, I like the first better. It actually says something useful. But, unfortunately it’s really more a process of elimination. The 2nd is just too corny by comparing 20 and 10 year old technology and then showing that even the (users of the) newer stuff can be stupid.

  20. To kim says:

Wow u guys are always great. I like thin dictionary!!

  21. Michael McGettigan says:

I liked the first one with the dictionary meanings more. Makes me feel like buying one. Or even better, winning one!

  22. Lorna mcgreehan says:

The girl in the bar ad is a bit much predictable . The other one is exciting a bit of buzz

  23. Christian says:

I really liked the Ultra Thin Collision! Very playful and had a good story to follow. Not crazy about the “collision” at the end…but still, I liked it much better than the Dictionary version. Too many words to read in that version… I prefer the playful plot of the Collision!

  24. Jody says:

I pick ultrathin collision, it is more entertaining than the definition one.

  25. Gabor Szauer says:

I enjoyed Ultra Thin Dictionary more!

  26. KathyC says:

I like the Ultra Thin Dictionary best, it caught my attention immediately and kept me interested.

  27. Joseph Fresquez says:

I like the Ultra thin dictionary video because it is very detailed to what the computer contains and represents and shows what people are doing at Intel to deliver the latest and most innovative technology. I myself am attracted by the video because I am very specification kind of guy. and the video gives me a base idea of what I can look forward to with the Ultra Thin.

  28. Andre says:

My favorite is Ultra Thin Dictionary because it focuses more on the product. It’s a very sexy, sleek laptop.

  29. Joyce Harrell says:

I thought the collision video was too cute with the first guy walking in with a big ole desktop computer…..way funny!!!!!

  30. khang xiong says:

My old PIII HP half dead laptop could be replaced by a nice shiny new ultra thin Intel laptop for school and work. That would make this Christmas the best one yet. And yes, this laptop makes me feel just like the first guy walking in with his desktop and knocks over a cup of coffee, but at least his works haha.

  31. David Bortzfield says:

I preferred the Ultra Thin Dictionary video. It gives a basic view of why the Intel Core i5 processors are the best and that transcends platforms as demonstrated by my MacBook Pro with Intel Core i5 inside. It ROCKS !!!!!!!

  32. Adam says:

I really liked the coffee shop commercial. Very funny!

  33. Michael Shenouda says:

“Ultra Thin Collision” I enjoyed it more than the “Ultra Thin Dictionary” because “Ultra Thin Dictionary” was obnoxious with the definitions and the “Ultra Thin Collision” was funny more people would probably be talking about it or send it to friends.

  34. Aravind says:

I like the “Ultra Thin Collision” ad. It has nice humour and more easily realtable, compared to the other very cold ad.

  35. Mike Lindegarde says:

I prefer the first video. The second has that “been there, done that” feel to it, and I’m pretty sure the ending is intended to catch you off guard… it doesn’t.

  36. Amber Harris says:

    Ultra Thin Collision

  37. Eric Crowe says:

I like the Ultra Thin Dictionary because it is informative and speaks to Intel’s involvement in the product. The commercial may be considered too wordy for most people though. Lots to read…

The Ultra Thin Collision is more memorable and humorous with the crash but does not indicate very much to Intel’s involvement in ultra thin products and does not differentiate Intel from other competitors.

I would pick one depending on the target audience. For a TV Commerical spot would choose Ultra Thin Collision. For a trade show event would choose Ultra Thin Dictionary. Overall preference for the average person would be Ultra Thin Collision.

  38. Ann says:

I love the second video it is funny, tells a story and has un unexpected end…..

  39. John says:

I liked the first video because it focused more of the features of the Intel Ultrathin laptop and I enjoyed the music. The music added some drama to the video.

  40. gustav says:

i’d go for the Ultra Thin Dictionary, find it a bit more friendly..

  41. EIlhard says:

I’ll choose the Ultra Thin Dictionary!!!

  42. Gaurav R says:

I liked the Ultra Thin Collision video best cos it shows that the notebook helps you pick up girls, yet is realistic in not helping you cross the road lol

  43. Zach Mau says:

I enjoyed the Intel Ultra Thin Commercial both because it reminded me of the traditional Intel commercials to which I am accustomed and also because I found it to be informative. The Intel Ultra Thin Collision commercial was interesting and funny and had all the great symptoms of a viral video although I did not find it particularly appealing.

The Intel Ultra Thin Commercial has excellent timing, sleek animations, great 3D typography and is both entertaining and informative while not being too over the edge. I enjoyed the humorous aspect of the Ultra Thin Collision video and the comparison of different sizes of notebooks and how clumsy they can be to handle. Knocking over a cup of coffee is something I think we can all relate to! However, other than the size comparison I got no real feel for the product other than just remembering a catchy video with one heck of a surprise ending.

  44. Gregory says:

I prefer the Ultra Thin Dictionary commercial. The Ultra Thin Collision is not funny to me. The punchline is predictable (How many times have we seen that shot of someone walking across the street and getting nailed?), and the setup seems too cliche. Making fun of old tech and people who still use it is overdone. The dictionary spot is sleek and to the point, much more befitting for the product.

  45. Melinda H. says:

I like the Ultra Thin Dictionary video better. The graphics and effects are much more appealing and intriguing. The second video was OK until the end, and then I was disturbed. It was a little inappropriate.

  46. Catherine Fox says:

    #1 video

At first, I thought I liked the #2 video the most, but at the end… well, I didn’t care for the couple getting hit by the car. If that was left out, I would have liked #2 the most.

I like #1 a lot because it explains clearly what the computer is about… and it was entertaining.

  47. sanjiv gupta says:

Great videos. I would use an ultra-thin as my enterprise/productivity PC and use my eventual Intel Slate Tablet as my mobile PC that I can take with me on the go.

  48. sanjiv gupta says:

I would definitely use an Intel Ultra-Thin for my productivity/enterprise actitivies and use my eventual Intel powered slate tablet for my on the go use.

  49. Pamela Haddad says:

I liked the 2nd video because it’s user friendly and tells a great story (until the accident, that is.)

  50. Andrew D says:

I like Ultra Thin Collision way better, dont you?

  51. sanjiv gupta says:

    I like the Ultra-Thin collision.

  52. Paul Dickey says:

***Ultra Thin Dictionary**** is my favorite video because it starts off like a premiere movie launch! The video slowly unfolds and builds excitement, plus it oozes Intel’s Rock-star charisma. Put simply, Intel unleashes UL’TRA THIN technology!

  53. Mike Seibert says:

The Ultra Thin Dictionary is the right ad for you. The other one is kind of gruesome

  54. Korey Thoele says:

I like the 2nd video the best. Super funny especially at the end.

  55. RAFAEL LOPEZ says:

I like the “Ultra Thin Dictionary” video. This video sent a direct message about Intel Technology in today gadget world.

  56. vernon washabaugh says:

INTEL utra-thin collision is so good it the best add i have watched all year.

  57. Brian G VanBuren says:

I liked the first one more, but it doesn’t feel like an Intel advertisement (feels more like a droid one). I liked the first two guys in the second advertisement, but did not like the third guy and getting hit by a car was a stupid gimmick.

  58. Ross Wigg says:

My thoughts are the ultra thin dictionary commercial best portrayed the image of the new Intel computer. What was cool is you normally think of a dictionary being bulky and heavy but the computer changes that. Also by showing off the different words then the images of the computer potential buyers feel like they know the product. Before even seeing the laptop I envisioned something that was thin sleek and all around just a work of art

  59. aron b says:

first video…. simple and to the point…
what does a bar have to do with a laptop?

  60. Hugh Callahan says:

I liked the Ultra Thin Collision best, because it communicated the message without language, and anyone could understand without speaking any one language. And I like funny endings.

  61. Sachin Kundu says:

    I like the second one

There is a laptop(I like), he got the girl (I like) and he got run over because he did not look before crossing road( I like)

  62. monkeyslayer56 says:

    Ultra Thin Collision
got to say the end did it for me :D

  63. amelia says:

I think the 1st one is the best, it loks high tech and modern and show it as it is.
the second one doesnt even come close to it, trying to hard on the second.

  64. Linda says:

I definately like the collision video better. It keeps your interest the whole time, and it’s funny and takes you by surprise. The other one I lost interest in and looked away from eventually.

  65. I like the video ‘Ultra Thin Dictionary’ as it was more informative about laptop itself.
    The music was better.
The the art and style was also to my liking.

  66. Syed Z. Abbas says:

I liked the Ultra Thin Dictionary commercial. It has the Intel theme and the colors are signifying that. The concept is very innovative and the ad looks crisp and sharp just like the Ultra thin laptop! This ad makes a person wanna purchase the laptop as it is very attractive.
    Thanks.

  67. Ziyad A says:

The first video is way better than the second one.
Now give me a free computer.

  68. Juan Alvarez says:

I love the Ultra Thin Dictionary video, its like watching a promo for a super hero movie, if only laptops had super hero’s inside, then Intel would come close to being one.

  69. Edwyn says:

I liked the coffee shop one because the ending was so unexpected!

  70. Phil Anderson says:

I love the Ultra Thin Dictionary version!! Makes me wish I had one!! :)

  71. mrs knight says:

I love the Ultra Thin Dictionary version better as it is straight forward explaining everything about the laptop. The sleek design is very appealing and after watching this video, it made me want to look for a new one to replace the one i am using as it makes mine look like a brick

  72. Chris S says:

“Ultra Thin Dictionary” is without a doubt my favorite video. Its bold, firm, and get the point across that Intel is the leader in the Industry.

  73. Derek says:

I like the ultra thin dictionary video. It is more dynamic, and gives you a better idea of what the laptop looks like. There wasn’t enough visuals for me in the Collision video.

  74. Matthew Parrish says:

Ultra Thin Collision is hilarious!! That is my favorite!

  75. Cindy Moore says:

Ultra Thin Collision is my favorite video because it made me laugh.

  76. Andrew says:

“Ultra Thin Collision” was my favorite video because the other one was kind of dry.

  77. Eric Duncan says:

I prefer the Ultra Thin Collision video, even though that happened to me in the past (both parts!). ;) Thanks!

  78. ALBERTO CAMARASA says:

I liked way more the Ultra Think Collision, is more colorful and funny… i show it to all my friends and they love it…
    what else i can say….

  79. bobbie worden says:

The collision one is so much better.

  80. John Moore says:

I like the Intel Ultra Thin Collision video best because it is more entertaining than the Intel Ultra Thin Dictionary video.

  81. Donny says:

Definitely the second one. Its got ‘esprit’ which the first one lacks.

  82. Leon Chike Nwankwo says:

The Ultra Thin Dictionary, I’m a technical kind of guy and when the information is laid out i can fully understand what is being advertised.

  83. alfred albizures says:

I love the Ultra thin commercial it allows the consumer to check the computers features and the computers actual thinness and it actually educates consumers that there is something as thin as the apple mac book air in windows form which is what cough my attention.

  84. Olof says:

My vote is on the first one! :)

  85. Adam Leader says:

I have to say the first one if my favorite. Despite the surprise at the end of the second one, and the bits of humor, I still think the first one would really sell the product.

  86. cc says:

The Ultra Collision commercial gets my vote because it is gripping from the moment it begins to the end. It has a human touch that the other commercial lacks and a sense of twisted humor that a lot of folks can relate to. Kudos to Intel for a winning commercial!

  87. Wouter says:

I like the Ultra Thin Collision movie. It has characters that you can relate to. And in a funny way it tells that it is the best item for computing tasks!

  88. Kyryll Kushnir says:

The first one was cool but really didn’t have a good plot to it… just a bunch of features. The second one had a plot and showed the evolution of “laptops” the first one wasn’t really a Laptop. I don’t understand why you would put in an iPhone into the commercial. The first one would be good for a quick advertisement but the second on would really get allot of people into it and thinking “whats going to happen next,” For the above reasons I would pick the collision commercial.

  89. Dan Morton says:

Video #1 was my favorite. Very clean and sleak, just like the laptop itself.

  90. Rahul says:

Well, I liked the first one..
    Its simple and self explanatory…
It shows how beautifully Intel chooses the names for its products.
About Second one…It’s too flashy or showy and Intel as a tech giant doesn’t need that…
As I said 1st one is itself self explanatory about the product…Gone are those days, when a girl(bartender) is impressed by slim laptops…:D
    Definitely 1st one…

  91. John says:

    collision is better

  92. Jason Hatfield says:

“Ultra Thin Collision” was my favorite video because of the surprise ending!
    Thanks.

  93. Liz says:

Ultra Thin Commercial. Thought I was going for the Collision until “it” happened; just too disturbing.

  94. Tim Wentz says:

Definitely the first one, “Ultra Thin Dictionary”. It actually made me feel like the product was epic — rather than the other one made me feel like it was just another commercial.

  95. Brendan Foley says:

The first video. I like them both, but the first one makes me want the laptop more.

  96. Preston says:

I like the Ultra Thin Collision movie it is much more into the peoples mind and relates super well. And it looks to be a great multitasking computer!

  97. I like the 1st one

  98. What can i say both Intel chip inside so its good!

  99. Brett says:

    Ultra Thin Collision

Would you actually put that on tv?
The other video wasnt very good.

  100. Ed says:

Ultra Thin Dictionary is my favorite. It shows off the amazing form factor and builds up excitement towards the finale. Sounds like the music from the Inception trailer. The second one is not appropriate for general audiences.

  101. Franky says:

Ultra Thin Collision…because the ending was hilarious!

  102. Sherry Lantrip says:

I am sorry but the first one called Ultra Thin Dictionary has it hands down to win. The first video gave me so much information, as far as what I look for in a laptop. I saw no humor or info in the second video that would make me want me want to go to the computer store to check it out. In fact the accident at the end of Ultra Thin Collision says to me it is not something I want to die for. Just plain old bad advertising. So Ultra Thin Dictionary you have my vote. Best of luck to you.

  103. The Ultra Thin Collision commercial is the best advertisement of the two. As far as advertisements go, people want something simple, entertaining, and with a tolerable amount of shock value. Things that require less thought (ie watching rather than reading) tend to receive more attention from the general public, giving the Collision commercial a clear advantage over the Dictionary commercial.

  104. Dustin Byce says:

Ultra Thin Laptop, i like the Ultra Thin Dictionary video because it had more info about the laptop and it got my interest about it the other one was boring and not to the point and it didn’t say to much about the laptop.

  105. Ice Wolf says:

I like the Ultra Thin Dictionary video because it seems like it actually tells me something about the laptop other than its thin.

  106. Lara Plathe says:

I liked the Ultra Thin Collision one better. The first one dragged on a bit and the second one humanized the situation.

  107. Chaitanya says:

1st video. It describes the ultra thin lap top features and the tune is catchy with a ” like an z toon movie background score ” !!!

    Cheers
    C

  108. Liked the first one best, but it was a little hard to pay attention to for how fast the words were being shown… maybe instead of the words appearing out of nowhere, they are already there and dramatically light up on beat or maybe a ray of light illuminates the words…

  109. Eric Funkhouser says:

Ultra Thin Dictionary is going to get my vote.

  110. SKP says:

I prefer the dictionary video as I felt it better promoted the product. I jumped off my seat with the collision video and hate to say it but I think it is horrifying. Not to be the party pooper but so many people are hurt seriously or killed in the world by collisions with motorvehicles that I think you will have a large audiance left with a really bad feeling from this video. I know some will love it but it could turn out to be a campaign nightmare.

  111. Keith Kolodsick says:

I love the “Ultra Thin Collision” video!

  112. Larry says:

The second one kept my attention and truly startled me at the end! Great creativity!

  113. JYR says:

I like the first one; the Ultra Thin Dictionary. It’s cool, sleek, and modern.

  114. Ed Rathsam says:

Ultra Thin Collision. Now that is the way to end a video

  115. Larry Ma says:

The second one has more humor, also would relate to most people. Except the getting hit by the car thing.

  116. Val C says:

The Ultra Thin Dictionary commercial is…

    Smart-With promotion through definition
Sleek-Without an overwhelming voice over listing features and functionality

  117. bill nestor says:

Ultra Thin Collision definitely. Held my attention and had an interesting twist at the end.

  118. evic says:

I like the first video better out of the two. The second one was just too corny.

  119. Samson says:

I like the first video “Ultra Thin Dictionary”. It’s a very informative commercial when compared to the second video. The video focuses on the main strong point of the laptop, which is ultra thin and gives viewers detailed definitions. The second video has a brutal ending which some may find amusing, but I personally do not.

  120. Lisa Titus says:

ultra thin dictionary held my attention more than the other.

  121. Steve W says:

I personally liked the second one, Ultra Thin Collision. The first one I had a hard time keeping up with all the text.

  122. Karen M says:

I like the first one better because it speaks to what the product really is all about and gives me the specifics inthe short time frameof the commercial. Futuristic and techie – liked it!

  123. Earl M. says:

Like the second one. Holds your interest through the entire video better than the first..

  124. Dowdberry says:

The second commercial is far better story telling, but the first has more useful information. I’d take bits and pieces of both by adding some detail to the second (coffeeshop) ad and go with that.

(From my core i3 probook 4320s, HP.)

  125. Hard to read the font on No. 1, video 2 was better and funny!

  126. Gail Wight says:

I like the first video best because it is a much more informative and inovative comercial. I was liking the second until the people got hit by a car.

  127. steve Fox says:

    I liked the second video

  128. Yi8u says:

The collison is way better if it’s only for the humoristic look

  129. Jules says:

Both of these commercials are certainly opposite from one another. The first one is basic, to the point and informative without distractions. The second video puts a story with it, showing its slim features and might be geared a little more towards the “younger crowd” with a little bit of humor. It was kind of shocking to see that couple get hit by a car though. With that said, having to choose between the both I would have to choose the first one. It really gives you more information, straight and to the point.

  130. Karen says:

I liked Ultra Thin Dictionary more, but will likely remember the second one better….

  131. Daniel says:

While I did enjoy the second one, I really liked the first one the best. It just gave off that sexy feel to the laptop. After the english lesson and the laptop showed up, I said, “Whoa!”. And all I could think of was sending the video to my friend who is a big mac lover and telling him to eat it :P

  132. Michele Copeland says:

I like the ultra thin collision because this one had a sense of humor!

  133. Nancy F says:

Ultra thin Collision. Even though the “collision” ending has been used too often, the progression of the size of computers in the beginning was cute and made the point of being “ultra thin”. On a practical basis, its unlikely that most TV viewers will pay attention to reading the first ad during a typical commercial break.

  134. michelle says:

ultra thin dictionary was more informative, but I’m definitely drawn to more of a story- the thin collision- one where people are interacting with the laptop, and you see the relationship there. my favorite is the collision- it seems enticing, a little seductive, and clearly workable. very successful! I want one!

  135. Rebecca Hilleque says:

I need the extra humor in my day – the second one gets my vote.

  136. I like the Ultra Thin Dictionary video better. It informs me the benefits of using the Intel thin processor.

  137. jennifer olson says:

I liked the first one…although i didn’t at first…to many words. I didn’t like the ending of the 2nd one and the girl was kinda goofy looking. So I have to go with the first commercial.

  138. Scott Hilleque says:

I liked the first one due to the sophistication of the technology.

  139. becrazy2 says:

The “Intel Ultra Thin Collision” video is the best. It’s catchy, funny & very relatable. It’s pulls you in & keeps you interested all the way through. It’s very well done & startling in the end.
The first one has a lot of good info but most people don’t take the time to read what is on a screen. You need to catch the audience right away to keep them. Unfortunately the first video isn’t going to do that.

  140. Jane Dickerson says:

Collision is my favorite–I like the unexpected, dark humor.

  141. Robert Y says:

The first video is my favorite because it starts off like a premiere movie launch! The video slowly unfolds and builds excitement, plus it oozes Intel’s Rock-star charisma. Put simply, Intel DEFINES Ultra Thin technology!

  142. Adele Zuerner says:

I liked the first one better, the audio was catchy and the info presented in the first one told more about the product. The second commercial played on worn out themes and equipment and the ending was a bit much.

  143. jean says:

i liked the 2nd one…not sure about the car crash though!! ..it was a little too much!!
Maybe a near miss would be nice!!

  144. Lisa Renea says:

I would have to go with the first video most certainly!

  145. Bruce K says:

My favorite was Ultra Thin Collision

  146. Zaid N. says:

I liked the first due to the cool intro and the dramatic music and finally showing the thin laptop ;-)

  147. nosogirl says:

I prefer the second video – it’s more approachable and uses humor to get the point across. I do, however, find the ending, with the two people getting run over, a little extreme.

The first video is too cold/sterile. It’s not like an ultra thin laptop is something brand new in the marketplace, yet that’s what the video is trying to portray with the drama. I also don’t like to have to read while I’m watching a commercial.

  148. Kerry Simpson says:

I think the second one is attention-grabbing, but I liked the first one best.

  149. VGreene says:

I loved the 2nd one! —less READING, more entertaining and I loved the element of surprise!

  150. william says:

i liked the 1st video it showed you more laptop

  151. sheri says:

the second video showed things that it is not (can’t remember the last time i saw a one piece desk top that big) I vote for the first video

  152. Danica says:

My vote is for the 2nd video. The uncertainity and unpredictability of it makes it fun and interesting!

  153. Kenneth Yuan says:

Ultra Thin Collision. More entertaining and memorable than the first one.

  154. Elyssa says:

Like the first one better – good visuals for laptop.

  155. srikiran says:

Thge first video is better coz.. it tells whats in those laptops.. whereas the second one is for those who dont know about the laptops as a whole..

  156. Michelle Simons says:

I liked number 2 video. with that big old computer. lol. and guy with thin laptop gets girl. scared me when they got run over though. hehe #intelthin

  157. Lori Griffith says:

my favorite video is the Intel Ultra Thin Collision because it gets your attention

  158. Lori says:

I like the first one. It lets you know more about the computer. The end of the second did get your attention though!

  159. Stefan Florence says:

I think the second one was much more suited for the laptops commercial. It really makes you want that new sleep and efficient laptop, unlike commercial #2.

it was also epic as FCK!

  160. Katja says:

Ultra Thin Collision!!! funny commercials stay in mind. the story is brilliant.

  161. Philip Shih says:

The first one is too wordy and people will forget it after the advertisement is over. The second one is definitely much better because it is obvious to everyone that a ultra thin notebook is better than the others. People will certainly remember the second one.

  162. Erica Best says:

i really like the Ultra Thin Collision it so funny and really makes the laptop stand out.

  163. Lisa Carr says:

I liked the first video, Ultra Thin Dictionary, the best. It conveyed more info about the actual laptop. The 2nd video was a little too jarring for me at the end. lisacarr7 ataol dot com

  164. Pam says:

Definitely the second one. Computers are used SO MUCH for social networking and this was a great example. However, they can’t do everything for you..like help you cross a road!!!!! lol

  165. Katz says:

I absolutely prefer the second one with mr nice guy and that waitress!

  166. Philipp says:

I liked second adv cause it’s funny. Btw, it would be nice to receive laptop from intel as a birthday present(I was born on 22.12 ^_^)

  167. Pam Thurston says:

The first video did not show enough of the laptop explained to high heaven — the explainations of the words was taking away from the laptop itself—- the second one was better — funny but the ending was not nice– the laptop looks great and i would love to have it

  168. Barbara Larson says:

I liked the second. The ending is different!

  169. Ret says:

I like the first one. It’s intelligent, informative and I love the music and sound effects – really gets your attention!

  170. Connie says:

The first one is best to me – the second ending was too bizarre for me.

  171. C.S. says:

DEFINITELY the first one – I love the music, the word choices and definition and the overall feel. The second one’s okay…didn’t like the actual collision part so much…

  172. Cherie says:

    Love the first one…

  173. Angie Seymour says:

I liked the first one best. The second one was good until the crash. That was unsettling.

  174. Laura Salata says:

The first one was best because it showed more about the laptop. The second one is funny but doesn’t really show much about the laptop other then it is thin.

  175. Norma says:

I liked the Ultra Thin Collision.

  176. Serge B says:

I liked the second one: Ultra This Collision–funny initially then sort of shocking at the end.

  177. Matteo says:

I prefer the second video. It is more funny and original! I love to see also some old PCs too… it remembers me my first experiences with computers…

  178. The second one. That one at least is funny.

  179. zanvia says:

I like the second spot better (Ultra Thin Collision). Gets the point across but also brings the humor. Those are the kind of commercials that get my attention. I did also like the first commercial as well but the Collision wins by three hairs ;). Following and tweeted as well (@zanvia).

  180. Ercan E. says:

    The Fist Video Will sell..

  181. Lori says:

The first one… Ultra Thin Dictionary. It had a lot of information. I thought the second one was just stupid.

  182. Kristen Chambers says:

Definitely preferred the first one. The second one’s ending seemed very non sequitor and I didn’t identify with the characters. The second was more informative.

  183. Jeff says:

I like the Intel Ultra Thin Commercial better. The Ultra Thin Collision was great right until the collision; it was a bit too extraneous. The commercial is trying to squeeze in another punch line within the last 3 seconds or might just offend some people with shock.

  184. Tanya says:

I liked the Ultra Thin Dictionary video. It was simple, clean, to the point while being informative as well..The second commercial focused to much on the couple and not the device :/

  185. Mannar Mannan says:

i like the first video which s good than the second.would love to get one of those culv notebook.

  186. Wayne says:

I vote for the first one.

  187. Caleb says:

The first one totally rocks, although the second one is good, too… But I’d go with the first one.

  188. Irene says:

The first one is definitely classy!

  189. Orville says:

Number one, for sure. The second one’s just not my speed…

  190. Ray says:

I liked the Ultra Thin Dictionary video, especially the sound. It made its point.

  191. Jane says:

I prefer the first one because it was more informative about the actual laptop. Still the 2nd video is great and has potential to be more popular with a wider audience. :)

  192. outcast says:

The second one. Getting hit by the car was very unexpected.

  193. Walden Leverich says:

Depends on the usage. For a TV commercial the first. For something on the web, the second by far. The crash at the end is totally unexpected and will make the video go viral. Had these been two “corporate” videos I wouldn’t bother commenting, now I’ve commented, tweeted, and followed @Intel.

  194. Kristy says:

Hands down with out a doubt the second one. Loved it!

  195. Suzanne M says:

I liked the commercial Ultra Thin Collision – those old clunkers were hilarious! The handsome guy with the cool ultra thin notebook was obvious, but the collision was also funny.

  196. Mary McCuan says:

I liked the second one. The crash made an impression.

  197. jefferie says:

Did the kids getting hit mean my CORE was totaled because I wasn’t paying attention? I think so. Being in the know is best and watching out what is coming at you, either from the front or in this case the side.

  198. Yuliya Dart says:

Ultra thin dictionary was flashy but didn’t captivate my attention at all. On the other hand, Collision got my attention and held it throughout the video. I really like how it was in a location (coffee shop) where a laptop would primarily be used in.

  199. Lisa A. says:

I loved the second one. I’m a sucker for a surprise ending!

  200. Betty Hakes says:

I liked Ultra Thin Dictionary best. It was clean and clear.

  201. Gregory Cohen says:

I like the Ultra Thin Collision the best. It focuses the attention on how thin the laptop is. At the same time, it is entertaining, so I probably wouldn’t mute this commercial on TV.

  202. Nancy Tea says:

The first one was way intense and had my attention the whole time. I feel this video is the best!

  203. Jeff says:

The first one didn’t hold my attention , the second was fun , flirty and just held my attention . The ending was certainly not expected .

  204. I like 1st one… its clear and beautifull. Stylish… lovely :)
2nd is ok too… it shows evolution of PC, but @same time… i didnt get it – whats the meaning of crash @end?

  205. trin says:

I like the first a whole lot better. Hated the second especially the end!

  206. Rita Sams says:

I like the The collision one—funny–not sure about the ending.

  207. SweetTee says:

Liked elements of both, but would choose #2 overall.

  208. Dan says:

The first one is my choice since it was direct and to the point – that is what I like in advertising.

  209. Sidney Cook says:

I liked the second one better. I find most commercials boring, the only ones I like are the funny or interesting ones. @AnnickVer

  210. Tiffany says:

Ultra thin collision hands down. It was much better than the other.

    Tiffany

  211. Debra P says:

I liked the second one best: Ultra Thin Collision. Thin is In and it had that O Henry type of twist ending that caught you by surprise. It held my interest because I wanted to see the story behind the characters.

  212. Jean D. says:

I preferred the first video. I’m a former English major and a dictionary geek, so the definitions lit me right up.

    Thanks for a generous giveaway!

  213. Gloria S says:

The second one–what an ending! Scared me!

  214. Eric says:

The Ultra Thin was very good.

2nd one wins for Sure.. almost caught me with the 1st but no way the 2nd won’t be a legendary commercial!

I like the first video because it gets to the point in a clean crisp refreshing sort of way. I found the visual part clear and stylish, yet not overdone. It made me want to go out a buy Intel products.

  224. Frayne Born says:

liked the commercial Ultra Thin Collision – those old clunkers were hilarious! The handsome guy with the cool ultra thin notebook was obvious, but the collision was also funny

  225. Anita G says:

I liked the beginning of the 2nd one but was put-off by the happy couple getting plowed into by a speeding vehicle. The music in the 1st one was so over dramatic but it was informative.I honestly didn’t care for either but if I had to chose I’d go with the 1st one.

  226. Suzanna P says:

i liked the second one made me smile and but the first one was better to the point sometimes less is better when advertising a product

  227. Jean says:

The 1st video “Intel Utra Thin Commercial” gets my vote because it really gives a nice view of the laptop, such sleek sexiness, my god it is like Geek Porn:)

  228. Kirsten says:

Ultra Thin Collision because it makes me laugh. There are a zillion laptop commercials that show me why I need to buy them. This one gets my attention and amuses me causing me to look closer and want to investigate more.

  229. Tina Rath says:

Ultra Thin Collision is my fave!
    sewingmema1720@yahoo.com

  230. Lauren Wagner says:

I like the Ultra Thin Dictionary one better. While the 2nd one was cute, until they inexplicably got hit by a car at the end, the first one was much more professional and something you might actually see on TV. I thought it was well thought out and very well made.

  231. soulfliesfree says:

Intel Ultra Thin Collision is my favorite because I didn’t have to read to watch the commercial. I”m pretty lazy when it comes to entertainment and although I liked the other video, I liked the Thin Collision video more. :-D

Ultra Thin Collision was the best it sells the sizzle not the bacon, a nice cool twist at the end and made me more interested in the laptop and wanting to know more.

    Thanks
    x

  235. Amber says:

I like the 2nd video because I love the characters and the hint of romance!

  236. Judy Bradley says:

I like the first video – the Intel Ultra Thin Commercial, the info is good and it is interesting. The second video is good in pointing out the obvious difference in size & convenience of computers, but the collision scene – no-no.

  237. Margaret says:

I liked the ultra thin collision video the best, mainly because it had humor, but also because I can remember when computers were big and bulky and not the wonderfully slim laptops and netbooks that are now awailable

  238. odessa says:

I prefer the second one for sure. The first one, I am usually doing 10 other things while watching tv, ( I have kids, lol ), i don’t have time to read commercials. The second one, whether you are fan of the collision or not, it is going to get your attention, and you will remember it for sure!!! And let’s be honest, it made me laugh. lol
